High Tech / Biotech / Industrial: We’ve completed many assignments in these areas. These have included Presidents and CEO’s, as well assignments for positions across all functions at the C-level, VP, Director and other executive levels. Positions have been in Marketing and Sales, Finance, Business Unit Management, Operations, Engineering, Program Management and Human Resources. Industries have included pharmaceuticals/biotech manufacturing, electronic systems and components, semiconductor manufacturing equipment, aerospace, automotive, defense/military systems, wireless communications and automated equipment. Consumer Products: Alan Darling has many years of experience in management of consumer products companies, having sold to customers such as Wal-Mart, Sears, L. L Bean, Kroger, Crate & Barrel and Macy’s, and appearing on a dozen live, hour-long programs on one of the home shopping networks. Assignments in consumer products have included the VP/Marketing for a stuffed toy company, the VP/Marketing of a jewelry manufacturer, the Plant Manager and the VP/Sales & Marketing for a furniture manufacturer and the National Sales Manager for Black Flag.
Due Diligence Organizational Study: As part of a client’s due diligence process, we conducted an organizational study of a stationery manufacturer before the client purchased that company.
Healthcare Administrators / Physicians: We’ve completed assignments for healthcare administrators and physicians, including COO’s, Chief Nursing Officers, Nursing Directors, Thoracic Surgeons, Neurosurgeons, Urologists, ENT’s, Primary Care Physicians, Orthopedic Surgeons and Healthcare Attorneys. Clients have included hospitals, group practices, travel nurse/healthcare provider agencies and law firms. We also provide training to hospitals and other healthcare providers on how to set up physician recruitment systems in to enable them to attract qualified physicians despite the extreme shortage of them in today’s market. Banking/Finance: We’ve completed assignments for the Head of Trust who established the trust department for a New Hampshire bank, the VP/Marketing with a heavy eMarketing/eCommerce focus for a financial publishing company, a Senior Trust Officer for a Vermont Community Bank. We also trained the CEO of a Benefits Consulting Firm on how to recruit executives.
Legal: We completed the assignment for a healthcare attorney who was soon promoted to partner for a 50-attorney law firm.
Non Profit: Our work with non-profits has included the Director of Development of an outdoor and environmental foundation that has been featured in Sports Illustrated and whose alumni include Michael Eisner, Jay Rockefeller and John McPhee and numerous assignments for non-profit healthcare organizations and hospitals.
Publishing / New Media eMarketing: We’ve completed an assignment to find the VP/Marketing for a creator of niche investment publications aimed at a very wealthy, elite audience, and also found them an eMarketing / Internet Marketing Manager. In addition, we interviewed, evaluated and conducted background checks on software developer candidates this client had developed using their own recruiting techniques.
